Vanishing Spells and Dedications

Hi again! It feels like it's been forever doesn't it? Yeah, sorry about that... But I do have a secret to share with y'all. I have developed a vanishing spell and that's why I haven't updated in so long: I've been trying to make myself re-appear.

LOL. Actually, I've been busy and stressed and going crazy. But wouldn't a vanishing spell be nice every now and again? I Personally would fight anyone who has one for it.

Well, in lieu of talking to you much excitement has taken place!
First of all, I took part in a Science Olympiad competition and got a third place in my event! All on my own too, no luck spells here! (Twitchy doesn't cheat)

I wrote a potent dedication chant for using on tool. I've had a good bit of success using it to charge a tarot deck that wasn't cooperating as well as a scrying mirror; so all in all some good stuffs! I actually would like to share it with you but remember, spells are no joke. With potent magick comes big responsibilities and you should always, always, always, have your intention in mind, be clear with what you want and not infringe on any one else's free will. No matter what. But I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here. So, without further ado, a dedication chant for your tools:

In the name of the Goddess I charge you
In the name of the Lady I bind you
In the name of the Mother I cleanse you
And in this Magick I wind you

Burn away preconceptions
Wash away lies
Grow forth the truth
Blow clear our eyes

Embed in my spirit
The intention I see
For as I will it
So mote it be

With this I usually use a white candle charged for my purpose and a sage or other cleansing incense or smudge, but really, you can go as many directions with this as you want. Just clean up afterward (aka. Grounding, basic I know but you'd be surprised how many people forget).

On another, sadder, note; the dog I lived with for over ten years went to the Summerlands last week. You should've heard the argument Mom and I had over whether or not I could keep his collar to put on my altar. Fortunately, I won this one. Now I have it laying next to my picture of Hecate. I just felt it was right, with her being an aspect of the Crone and the Next Life.

But, just as his death was a new beginning for him, I got my own. Today, a Druidic friend of my approached me with the idea of starting a coven of our own. Needless to say I'm sooo excited. Guys, let me be straight with you; I've missed my old coven soo much! When I moved I lost a lot of my contacts and the coven practically fell apart. I really hope this works out for us, especially since there are a lot of teens at my high school who are solitary and searching. If you all could send some positive energy our way and wish us luck I would appreciate it more than you could ever imagine!

Well, homework is calling and I have to sign off for tonight but I would like to say thanks and sorry once again.

Blessed Be,

Godsmack and Witchy Wendy

Hello all!

Yep it's Twitchy. Who else would it be ;)

First of all I want to appologize for taking so long to update. I'm really sorry guys you have NO idea. Life has been crazy busy the last couple weeks but I know that's now excuse. I found another podcast for you guys to listen to just to show my love. It's called Standing Stone and Garden Gate and you can find them here.

Okay, now this article was made to be read listening to Godsmack. If you don't know, their AMAZING lead singer, Sully Erna is one of us so I thought, why not make an article featuring his music?! So here you go my beloved readers, now you can jam while you read!

This is my all time favorite song so I wanted to share that with you.

Now, on to some more serious topics (sorry guess I'll get back to the funny in a heartbeat)

I'm sure you've all heard about the earthquake that devastated Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince. Last I heard it was a 7.0 earthquake with 33 aftershocks. Hundreds of thousands of people have died and I just wanted to ask you to have them in your thoughts. Light a candle, say a prayer; whatever just remember that people are out there hurt and scared. But you know what else? People are blaming Haiti's problems on Voudoun! What BS is that? If you don't know much about Voudoun take a peak at the link list and check it out.

Also, I regret to inform y'all but I've had a bad week of it. I don't want to go into details but I'm feelin kinda down so I decided to share a recipe with everyone that I make during Yule, or just whenever I'm feeling blue. It's called "Hot Apple Cider" (yes I know, oh so creative) and makes the who house smell AMAZING. It doesn't taste half bad either :)

So here's what you're gonna need

An average sized bottle of apple cider
2 Cinnamon Sticks (or 2 tbsp cinnamon powder)
A dash of nutmeg - I suggest actually buying an entire shaker though XD
Vanilla

This is one of the easiest, yummiest drinks I have ever made, All you have to do is pour about half of your apple cider into a saucepan, along with your cinnamon, nutmeg and a splash of vanilla. Turn it on medium and once it reaches a boil let it simmer for ten minutes. No all you have to do is pour it into a cup and wait for it to cool so you don't melt your mouth.

See, told you it was easy!

Now, my sister, Witchy Wendy (we call her Wendy for short) has a book suggestion. She says this book is a Must Read. It's called 'Tall, Dark & Dead" and is by Tate Hallaway. Here's the summary on the back:

The line between magic and sanity is very thin. Thats part of why I, Garnet Lacey, quit cold turkey. Never touch the stuff. No exceptions.

But magic is so addictive... and my inner Goddess, Lilith, is hard t resist. Besides, restraint isn't easy when you manage Wisconsin's premier occult bookstore, and you get customers like Sebastian Von Traum - piercing brown eyes, sexy accent, and a killer body in black leather and denim. The only thing missing is an aura, Which means he's dead...

That means trouble, I guess I'm a sucker for it. The Vatican witch hunters are on to us. My long-lost vampire ex has crawled out of the woodwork looking for action. And Sebastian's frusterated ex is stirring in her grave.

What's a girl to do if she's hot for a dead man walking? Fun like hell - and take full advantage of the nights...

Woot! Sounds like a good one. Have to hand it to Wendy for this one. Might have to make her our official book picker won't we?

Well I've gotta go but I will get back to y'all ASAP.

And So It Begins

Merry Meet!

Hi my name's Twitchy. I've been a Wiccan Witch for almost six years now and have been meaning to start my own blog for almost two. Crazy right? I guess I just haven't had time to get around to it. Yeah, I know excuses, excuses; anywho I have been looking around the web and have just been thinking "Hmmm, where are all the blogs by witches my age?" Seriously folks, I have talked to maybe, four pagan teens in my Wiccan
- what would you call it? career? lifetime? yeah that sounds good-
my wiccan lifetime. And this makes me really sad cuz i know there are a TON of great non-fluffy teens who are seriously wanting to learn the craft.

Now just a disclaimer - I don't claim to learn all there is too know. Gods, I don't know a percent of all there is to know, but I do want to learn and share with all my awesome, wonderful, crazy, great pagan friends.

So where do I begin? At the beginning I guess!

Okay, I have been Wiccan for what will be six years this summer solstice. That sounds like forever (not really, but a good long time when you consider that's almost a third of my lifetime) but it seems like yesterday I was a fluffy goofy witchy girl following everything I read. Wait... that was yesterday. Lol, just kidding it was last week. Okay, now I don't seriously consider myself fluffy but I'm sure to some eighty year old high priest who has been Wiccan since birth (is there such a creature?) I am as fluffy as the newbie who started learning yesterday. But honestly I try to be all duly serious when it's needed. Anywho, back to my original point. I wanted to tell y'all about how I came to be my fruity little self. I blame it all on Neopets. Seriously! I kid you not! This story cracks me up every time I tell it but it is 100 percent true. Would I lie to my people? Of course not!!! So I was a youngin' surfing Neopets guilds, my mom had just signed the paper that let me join guilds and post on the forums so I was totally abusing my privileges and happened upon a guild that claimed that 'Magyck, Otherkin and Vampyres are REAL' and I quote. I didn't buy it honest! Okay, okay, maybe a little but I was an innocent little runt who grew up in a family that claimed to be open and for the most part was, aside from an exceedingly Christian mother, so I was very much a believer. It was because of this that, after much link surfing and many 'you have got to be kidding me's later (there's some weird things you can get to, link surfing. Even if you start at Neopets) that I found myself on TeenWitch. I was intrigued and so started researching, finding my way to many coven homepages and eventually to Witches Voice which helped me find my true path and knocked -most of- my fluff out :) So, essentially, Neopets (and natural curiosity) led me to Paganism, and specifically Wicca.

That is how, in short, I came to be who I am : an Out-Of-The-Broom-Closet, honest to Goddess, Witch. Well out of the broom closet is another story entirely but you all know what I mean right?

I have friends from all walks of life now, Dianic, Druidic, Eclectic, Catholic, and even Jehovah's Witness. So just because you are, or aren't, Pagan keep your eyes open for more friends. You can NEVER have enough!

Well that seems like a good first post so I'm gonna wind it up. I'll get back to you next week at the latest. I promise. If you have something to share or have a crazy 'How I became Pagan' story yourself you can catch me at TwtchyWitch@gmail.com
Don't hesitate. I love hearing from new friends

In the mean time check out some of the amazing Podcasts out there. They all inspired me to really get around to doing this and always have something great to say.

The Wigglian Way - Mojo and Sparrow are the greatest

Eat My Pagan Ass - Lucky and Carmen keep me rolling. I love em!

And check out Witches Voice here. You can find some amazing and enlightening stories on here

Well thank you so much for being here with me! I appreciate it more than you could ever imagine!

Live deeply and love freely,
TwitchyWitch

Blessed Be.
